چکیده

High-precision GNSS (global navigation satellite e system) measurements can be used for remote sensing and nowadays play a significant role in atmospheric sounding (station data, radio occultation observations) sea surface altimetry based on reflectometry. A limiting factor of high-precision reflectometry is the loss coherent phase information due to sea-state-induced roughness. This work studies airborne observations recorded over coastal waters examine sea-state influence Doppler distribution residual retrieval. From observations, possibility zenith total delay inversion also investigated, considering hydrostatic mapping from Vienna function an exponential vertical decay depending height receiver changes. The experiment consists multiple flights performed along coast between cities Calais Boulogne-sur-Mer, France, July 2019. Reflected signals acquired right-handed circular polarization are processed through model-aided software passed retracking module obtain phase-corrected signal. Results grazing angle (elevation < 15°) show high sensitivity spread with respect state correlations 0.75 0.88 wave wind speed, respectively. An empirical threshold 0.5 Hz established reflections supported by obtained. Phase coherence occurs 15% observations; however, estimated best event corresponds 2.44 m, which differs typical (2.3 m) 5%.

Estimation of Tropospheric Zenith Delay and Gradients

We have analyzed data from an experiment over the Madrid (Spain) area obtained from 5 GPS receivers and 3 Water Vapor Radiometers (WVR), in order to compare their retrievals of Tropospheric Slant Delays. For this purpose we have tted a simple gradient model to both types of data, using a Kalman lter to account for the temporal variability of the zenith and gradient parameters. We show that the ...

Hyperspectral Airborne Remote Sensing of the Belgian Coastal Waters

On the 16th of June 2003 a CASI (Compact Airborne Spectrographic Imager) hyperspectral airborne remote sensing campaign took place above the Southern North Sea, just offshore of Oostende. In coincidence with the airborne overpasses seaborne measurements of water leaving reflectance and water quality parameters were performed. In addition near-simultaneous satellite imagery are available. This p...

Impact of a priori zenith hydrostatic delay errors on GPS estimates of station heights and zenith total delays

[1] Corrections to zenith atmospheric delays (including hydrostatic components) are estimated in geodetic analyses using partial derivatives that relate wet delays to the phase observations. At low-elevation angles, partial derivatives of the hydrostatic and wet delays are sufficiently different as to cause errors in the estimates of station heights and zenith total delays unless accurate surfa...
